Finding a Niche
Welcome back to another time tip and welcome to the month of August. Let’s get started!
Did you know that having a niche is a time saver? Let me explain: Knowing your target market saves you time because marketing gets easier, there are more referrals, and more revenue.
What is a target market? A group of people that have a common problem to which you have a viable solution AND a compelling message for them to take action on your solution.
Your overall marketing and message will not speak to anyone in particular if it is not narrowed down into a targeted niche market. You will want to stand out from the crowd with what you are bringing to the table. For example, Tick Tock…It’s About Time draws people in to learn more about using their time wisely and looking at productivity in a different light. My own target market is female entrepreneurs and sales professionals and teaching them to work smarter, not harder so they can make more money in less time and get back to enjoying life. Another example is the Ring Security System, targeting homeowners who want to keep their property safe. Want more insights? Search items into google such as ‘smart watches’ or ‘health and wellness’ and see the different niches that pop up to inspire your own development.
It is important to be different from the market at large. Find the needs and preferences within your own business and create your identity. Remembering that a niche is who you’re speaking to through marketing but it doesn’t mean you have to close the door to other opportunities. A niche is open for creativity, so get after it to save time and have marketing needs simplified.
Until next month!
