What's Your Plan B?
Ever been stood up by a client or prospect? I know I have and sometimes it is a complete scheduling oversite or legitimate reason for not keeping their commitment. I don’t care what your profession is, dentist, attorney, outside sales rep, or cleaning service, it’s happened and it will again. Last minute call or complete no-show, it will happen, sucky right?
Doesn’t have to be! First, refer them to me so I can help them control their calendar… (see what I did there?). Then make a plan. Have a Plan B kit in the car with prospects to call or pop in on in the area. Finish outstanding billing that will drive earned revenue to your business. Finish planning a sale or special and get it posted and published. Need ideas for your particular business? Get on our website and schedule a consultation. Notice I’m not telling you to go grocery shopping or get your nails done. If we truly want to master our calendars we should be trading productive time for productive time and nothing else.
And don’t let your plan go stale. You don’t want to find yourself pulling out an outdated list or billing source. Once you have a plan, however, you’ll no longer be making an angry face when you get a cancellation but rather peace in knowing you’re still driving your business forward.
