Is Procrastination Your Friend?

What if procrastination is your friend?
I’m not saying it’s a friend you necessarily want in your life. But what if it’s actually trying to help you?
You know you’re losing out on getting clients, helping people, making money, and being healthy, but you’re just stuck in this rut. It feels like you’re fighting a losing battle.
That’s because you are. Your subconscious is repeating a pattern. And your subconscious runs the show. 90% of the show to be exact. That’s a lot!
How can you stop? By understanding some rules that it operates by.
Step 1. Get out a piece of paper and ask the question- How is procrastination keeping me safe? Then write down anything that pops in your head. Even if it’s crazy or nonsensical. Just write. When you do this you’re going to find some answers.
Some common beliefs that have come up leading to procrastination are:
If I work too hard, I won’t have time for my family.
If I try my best, I’ll fail.
If I put myself out there I’ll get rejected.
Step 2 is to choose better beliefs. And communicate them to your subconscious. How?
By flipping the beliefs you uncovered from Step 1. For example:
If I work hard, I’ll have plenty of time for my family. I’ll have balance.
If I try my best, I’ll succeed.
If I put myself out there, I’ll help people with what I share.
You get the idea. Tell your mind how succeeding makes you safe. That’s the truth right?
Then your subconscious will respond by getting to work! You won’t need procrastination to keep you safe anymore. You can break up with this friend that’s been holding you back all along.
