Taking Care of Yourself in the Last Months of 2020

As we approach the last two months of this crazy year, I thought I would reflect on some self-care ideas. I cannot believe we are already in November and almost to 2021. I hope this blog post finds you well, and as I always say, you have to take care of yourself and make that a priority in your schedule if you want to be able to show up for the other parts.

Alright, now for the self-care tips. Sometimes when this part of the year hits, I notice and recognize without judgment that I am not as energized as I typically am. We lose an hour of precious sunshine and it gets dark so dang early. It is also cold and overwhelmingly busy with the holidays and now lets add a pandemic on top!

Well, my biggest tips for taking care of myself during this time includes:
-Upping my vitamin D intake through nutrition (salmon, eggs) or through supplements.
-Try to wake up 15 minutes earlier so I can give my mind and soul the nourishment it needs. I know you have seen my power hour, but I make it a power hour with 15 minutes of stillness and slowness on top. It really is crazy how much of a difference this can make.
-Trying out homemade, fall themed soups (#yum). Or other winter comfort foods that I can look forward to creating for myself.
-More journaling to process my thoughts.
-Getting at least 20 minutes of medium intensity movement to relieve stress and give back to my body after sitting through the day.

Lastly, having a bliss list handy is super helpful for stressful moments. Not sure what that is? Head on over to my Instagram to learn more @calendarguru.

I hope these tips help and since there are no more workshops for the year, stay tuned to my time management workshops in the new year! And remember, blog posts always come out in the middle of the month.
